thecode is a creative studio working where art, design, and technology meet. The name comes from the idea of decoding: we take complex concepts and build them into real projects. We are a multidisciplinary team of artists, producers, developers, architects, designers, dreamers and more, all working the same problem from beginning to end.

Our mission is turning magic into reality both in physical and digital worlds. Using emerging technology, we build immersive installations, interactive interfaces, creative websites, audiovisual work, performances and many other whimsical ideas you had no idea were possible. Leading creation from end-to-end, our team experiments at the frontier of what technology can feel like, offering services ranging from strategy, design and visual identity until final installation.

From internationally exhibited art works to large-scale brand activations for Coca-Cola, Heineken and Claro, our practice spans the full spectrum of experiential media. thecode is also the founder of the cultural initiatives IMMERSPHERE and ARTELLIGENT.

Based between Salvador in Brazil and New York, we work with brands, cultural institutions, galleries, and independent artists – always with the same conviction: that the most powerful technology is the kind that makes you forget it is there.
